About the Park Row Alliance
The Park Row Alliance is a consortium of residents, small businesses, and not-for-profits advocating on behalf of the community’s interest in reimagining and revitalizing Park Row— the southern anchor and gateway into Chinatown.
Our work brings together local residents and small businesses, government agencies, elected officials, technical experts, and community partners to get things done.
Since 2016, the Park Row Alliance helped create positive change for our Chinatown community.
In 2016 and 2017, our work resulted in improvements to the bike lane on Park Row, through advocacy to New York City government (including NYC DOT) and elected officials. Our work caused meaningful changes to the DOT’s plan, including improved safety by nixing a two-way bike lane. Coverage in the Tribeca Trib.
From 2018 to 2020, we pushed for a smarter, more community-focused plan for the Chinatown jail. Coverage of our efforts in AMNY, Curbed, Bedford+Bowery, Patch, ChinaDaily and our victories in Patch and Curbed.
Since 2020, we have been working to achieve a broader vision that rebuilds and transforms the public space on Park Row and in our Chinatown neighborhood.
